Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Neurosurgical Floor Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at University Hospitals. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient care.

About the Role

  • As a Neurosurgical Floor Advanced Practice Provider, you will be responsible for managing neurological deficits and other comorbidities for patients on the neurosurgical step-down floor.
  • You will perform patient assessment, assign diagnosis, and develop treatment plans based on current scientific research and standards of care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
  • Order and perform routine diagnostic procedures, monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions, and contribute to the educational development of staff and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment plans.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated competence as a practitioner, effective oral and written communication skills, and proficiency in technical patient care devices.
  • A variety of certifications, licenses, and education requirements apply, including BLS, ACLS, and APRN licensure in Ohio.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently, walk frequently, and stand frequently throughout the shift.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
