About the Role

As a Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider, you will work closely with our experienced healthcare team to assess, implement, and evaluate plans of care for patients in accordance with the scope of practice of a Neonatal provider and current standard of care.

You will manage a caseload of medically complex neonates in the acute phase and transition to home, participate in high-risk deliveries, and demonstrate age-appropriate care to neonates from birth to two years old.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Develops and implements treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Clinical Education: Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients, family, and self by providing education through role modeling and in-services.
  • Leadership and Management: Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management skills by taking responsibility for self-development, supporting a learning environment, and displaying commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a Master of Science in nursing with advanced practice certification specific to the neonatal population OR Master of Science in physician assistant studies. Current Ohio Nursing license, current Ohio APRN license, Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority, and current Ohio PA license are also required.

A DEA license will be provided through the hospital. Strong clinical assessment and analytical skills, effective oral and written communication skills, proficiency with computers and selected office equipment, BLS and NRP provider certification, and self-directed professional with strong organizational skills are also essential.
