Position Title: Environmental Health

Summary: Mack Molding is seeking a qualified individual to oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of health and safety programs and policies. This role will involve close collaboration with management to ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations, promote employee involvement, and drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at minimizing workplace incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate, implement, and uphold health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as Mack Molding's internal EHS standards.
- Possess a thorough understanding of OSHA regulations, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards, and EPA guidelines.
- Maintain precise documentation of safety inspections, training activities, incidents, and regulatory permits.
- Foster a culture of safety through employee engagement in safety committees and comprehensive orientation programs.
- Lead training initiatives and ensure adherence to safety investigation protocols as outlined in Mack's Safety Programs. Utilize digital tools to identify trends and preventive measures in collaboration with employees, supervisors, and management.
- Collaborate with program managers to sustain, implement, and enforce site-specific safety programs, procedures, and regulatory training, focusing on high-risk areas and conducting safety audits.
- Direct safety investigations, analyze data trends, and work with leadership to develop preventive strategies.
- Coordinate with the Company Nurse and HR Director on safety metrics, accident trends, and ensure prompt reporting of worker's compensation claims.
- Oversee hazardous waste management operations across all Mack North locations.
- Provide expert guidance and support to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, guidelines, and permit requirements.
- Manage and update the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) program.
- Ensure compliance with contractor safety protocols.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in safety and environmental training.
- Possesses effective influencing and persuasion skills across all organizational levels.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in safety management, with a minimum of 5 years in the manufacturing sector.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline. Certifications such as HAZWOPER, RCRA, and DOT are advantageous.
Language Proficiency:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various business documents, professional journals, and governmental regulations. Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Capable of effectively presenting information and addressing inquiries from diverse groups.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software; experience with ERP systems is required, preferably with MAPICS software.
