The Role

Genai Works is seeking talented Research Scientists with proven expertise in tackling complex challenges using deep learning methodologies. You will leverage your skills to drive innovations that shape the future of voice-enabled applications. Your responsibilities will include utilizing extensive audio and text datasets to develop foundational models that extend beyond mere transcription and text comprehension. The models you create will interpret nuanced meanings in intricate conversations, adapt to diverse speech patterns, and generate empathetic, context-aware responses. Collaboration with product and engineering teams will be essential to deploy these models in the most scalable voice API available.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement experimental initiatives to create new speech and language AI foundation models that address critical customer challenges.
  • Manage large-scale training processes on extensive distributed computing systems.
  • Enhance model architectures for optimal speed and memory efficiency; facilitate the deployment of new models for large-scale applications.
  • Clearly document and present findings and complex technical concepts for various audiences.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in deep learning, focusing on their relevance and applications in our products.

It's Important To Us That You Have

  • A PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in designing and executing experimental programs to understand complex phenomena, with the ability to adapt and iterate quickly.
  • Demonstrated experience in building models from scratch, managing the entire deep learning pipeline including data curation, architecture design, large-scale training, and model optimization.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Proficient software engineering skills, particularly in developing clean, modular code using Python and Pytorch.

It Would Be Great if You Had

  • Industry experience in developing deep learning models for complex problem-solving, with a solid grasp of various neural network types and architectures.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art network architectures, including transformers.
  • Understanding of different parallelism strategies for efficient distributed training.
