Your Role

As an AI Research Specialist, you will be at the forefront of groundbreaking research in artificial intelligence, focusing on its applications in networking, programming, and human-computer interaction. Your work will involve exploring foundational concepts that enhance networking and security, contributing to a wide range of applications. You will also play a vital role in the global research community by publishing your findings, delivering presentations, and organizing workshops.

About Us

The Cisco Networking Engineering AI Research team is composed of AI research scientists, data scientists, and network engineers who work collaboratively on both fundamental and applied research initiatives. We are driven by the challenge of connecting people and devices on a global scale.

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
  • Publications in leading AI conferences or recognition through grants, fellowships, or awards.
  • Experience with Machine Learning Models (MLMs) and familiarity with frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading research projects in an academic or industrial setting.
  • Interest in integrating representation learning with specific problem domains.
  • Experience in developing and fine-tuning foundational models, including LLMs and multi-modal models.
  • Ability to stay updated on advancements in generative AI and apply these insights to real-world challenges.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster collaboration.
  • Experience in an industrial research environment.
