Position Description

As a key member of PIMCO's Financial Planning & Analysis team, the Oracle EPM System Administrator will take ownership of our Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system administration. You will be responsible for ensuring the technical health, efficiency, and effectiveness of the applications used for developing financial and operational forecasts, budgets, and delivering operational financial reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Own all administration activities for Oracle EPM, including supporting multiple planning and reporting applications and cross-function management of system administration team within the technology organization.
  • Develop a deep understanding of company hierarchies and how they work within FP&A reporting (i.e., income statement, balance sheet, and KPIs).
  • Maintain the overall EPM production environment of Hybrid Planning (BSO) & Reporting (ASO).
  • Manage data load process and forms.
  • Support month-end reporting cycles, including off-business hours and weekends, as required.
  • Provide innovative reporting solutions using Narrative Reporting tool by leveraging built-in functionalities, such as books, batches, and notes.
  • Manage security and user administration.
  • Conduct testing, including system integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
  • Coordinate between technical teams, business functions, and system integrators to drive progress as new functionality is implemented.
  • Prepare and maintain necessary documentation, including design documents, test documentation, training materials, and administration/procedural guides.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related field required.
  • Minimum four years' experience in Oracle EPM Hyperion Planning design.
  • Development and administration with 2+ years on EPM Cloud, including EPBCS (Freeform, Hybrid BSO, ASO), Narrative, and Management Reporting, Data Management (EDM), EPM Automate, and EPM Cloud experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in providing system support and direct contact with users to solve issues with Oracle Enterprise Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS) & Enterprise Data Management (EDM) business applications.
  • Proficient knowledge of all components of EPBCS, including metadata administration, outlines, dimensions, complex calculations, business rules, calculation scripts, Groovy, creating snapshots, backups, data and artifact migrations, security setup and configuration, data forms, charts & graphs, menus, task lists, as part of application development and configuration.
  • Proficient knowledge of creating financial reports (PDF), charts, pivots, dashboards, books, batches, snapshot reports, comments, etc., using Narrative Reporting.
  • Proficient in managing incidents, managing changes, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis, performance tuning activities.
  • Ability to support month-end reporting cycles, including occasional off-business hours.
  • Familiarity with Finance and Accounting principles.
