Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Activities/Lifestyle Assistant to join our team at Maplewood at Princeton LLC. As an Activities/Lifestyle Assistant, you will assist the Program Director in providing a diverse range of activities for our residents, promoting their physical, social, and intellectual well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement activities that cater to the interests and needs of our residents, utilizing the HEART philosophy.
  • Conduct daily assessments to determine individualized programs and ensure resident engagement.
  • Foster socialization among residents through various activities and events.
  • Utilize the Staying Connected Form to promote activities and encourage resident participation.
  • Collaborate with residents to develop their assistance plans and provide input on their care.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating special events, decorations, and outings.
  • Provide daily assistance during meals and monitor residents' neighborhoods to maintain their lifestyle.
  • Assist with transportation for activity outings and group trips.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the program and meet resident needs.
Requirements
  • Experience in activity planning with seniors is preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of dementia-related issues.
  • TRD certification, Associate's degree, or additional training in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work-related experience in an environment focusing on dementia care is preferred.
  • Evidence of creativity, organizational skills, and a mature, pleasant, friendly, and cheerful personality.
  • Driver's license required with a clean driving record.
