At AristaCare, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nursing Unit Coordinator. This is a dynamic role that requires strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate care in nursing units.

The successful candidate will provide administrative supervision and clinical oversight to the unit on all shifts, ensuring that quality standards of practice are maintained. Key responsibilities include:

  • Observing patients and nursing care to ensure adherence to federal and state guidelines
  • Addressing issues concerning staff members and taking initiative in disciplinary action when needed
  • Reviewing the Nursing Care Plan and providing for quality resident care
  • Assisting and directing CNA's in organization and completion of workload
  • Integrating the Nursing Plan with medical care prescribed
  • Providing for proper transcription and execution of physical orders
  • Ordering medication from the pharmacy
  • Controlling the counting of narcotics, barbiturates, and counter medications
  • Providing for an accurate syringe count and record
  • Ordering supplies for the nursing unit
  • Responsible for proper and accurate documentation and maintenance of clinical records
  • Participating in the development of non-professional personnel through orientation and In-service Programs
  • Evaluating resident care plans for appropriate resident goals, problems, approaches, and revision based on nursing needs
  • Arranging a schedule to allow for supervisor and evaluation of the performance of all nursing personnel on the unit
  • Providing direct resident care when needed

Requirements:
