Position Overview:
The Construction Equipment Sales Specialist is tasked with promoting and selling machinery products within a designated geographical area, aiming for sales, lease purchases, or rentals of these offerings.

This role focuses on identifying and engaging potential clients in the agricultural, ranching, and general contracting sectors. As a key member of the sales team, the Sales Specialist shares the responsibility of fostering a collaborative environment that supports the ongoing stability and growth of the team, grounded in shared business values and a unified mission.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Establish and cultivate relationships with prospective buyers, aligning with the company's mission and core values to achieve or surpass territorial and corporate sales objectives.
2. Identify and develop new business opportunities, expanding the customer base.
3. Assess and address specific customer needs to enhance service quality and satisfaction, fostering mutually beneficial relationships.
4. Promote products and services to the existing customer base while actively seeking to grow that base to achieve both territorial and organizational sales goals.
5. Prepare and submit precise and timely sales reports and documentation to support business objectives.
6. Meet all sales-related performance metrics during review periods.
7. Contribute to the development and oversight of sales forecasts and expenses within the assigned territory to meet or exceed business targets.
8. Complete special projects as directed by the Regional Sales Manager to adapt to the evolving needs of the company.
9. Travel to customer locations as required.
10. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards.

Work Hours: 50+ hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience is required; six years or more is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; some college coursework or a combination of education and experience is preferred; a Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
- Valid driver's license is necessary.

Skills and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of CAT products and related support services.
- Proven selling techniques, including prospecting, overcoming objections, and closing sales.
- Exceptional negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to foster long-term business relationships.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate information for problem-solving and decision-making.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to completing tasks thoroughly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across various departments.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to perform mathematical computations accurately and efficiently.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to perform each job duty satisfactorily, including extended periods in a stationary position and occasional movement within the office environment. Constant movement and use of limbs are necessary, along with good manual dexterity and stamina. The role also involves effective communication with others and the ability to respond to visual and auditory signals.

Work Environment:
This position is primarily performed in a professional office setting with controlled environmental conditions.
