Overview:

The Surgical Equipment Specialist is responsible for the management and distribution of surgical supplies and instruments within the operating room environment. This role ensures the proper maintenance and functionality of complex medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exemplifies the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Oversees the inventory management and organization of all surgical equipment, including maintenance, sanitation, distribution, and involvement in special projects.
  • May undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management, which could include patient transport and assisting nursing staff.
Qualifications:

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in an operating room setting is preferred, particularly in vendor service or a related capacity.

Certifications:
Current BLS certification is required.

Work Schedule:
To be determined.
