The Construction Equipment Sales Specialist at Holt CAT is tasked with promoting and selling machinery products within a designated area. This role focuses on establishing connections with potential clients in sectors such as agriculture, ranching, and general contracting, aiming for successful sales, leases, or rentals of equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage with prospective buyers, aligning efforts with our core mission and values to achieve sales targets.
- Develop new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
- Assess and respond to customer needs to enhance service quality and foster strong relationships.
- Market products and services to existing clients while seeking to grow the business within the territory.
- Prepare and submit timely sales reports and documentation to support business objectives.
- Meet established sales metrics during performance reviews.
- Assist in the development and management of sales forecasts and budgets to achieve business goals.
- Participate in special projects as directed by management to adapt to evolving company needs.
- Travel to customer sites as required.
- Adhere to safety policies and company standards at all times.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Work Hours: Expect to work 50+ hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience; six years preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or a combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is advantageous.
- Valid driver's license required.

- In-depth knowledge of CAT products and support services.
- Proven sales techniques including prospecting, objection handling, and closing deals.
- Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
