Position Overview

Under the guidance of the Program Representative III (Supervisor), the Program Representative II (PR II) plays a crucial role in evaluating and analyzing investigative cases, complaints, and citations. This position also provides support in matters concerning case assessments, enforcement actions, and consumer grievances. The PR II contributes to the formulation and enhancement of policies, procedures, and regulations pertinent to the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR).

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and assess various investigative cases and consumer complaints.
  • Assist in the development of regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure effective enforcement of automotive regulations.

Work Environment

The role requires standard office work, which may involve sitting, standing, and occasional lifting of materials up to twenty (20) pounds. The incumbent will work a standard 40-hour week in a controlled office environment. Daily tasks will involve the use of a personal computer and various office equipment.

Travel Requirements

Travel within a designated geographical area is necessary. The incumbent must be prepared to travel by various means, including air travel and state vehicles, to attend meetings and fulfill job responsibilities.

Special Qualifications

  • A valid California Driver's License (CDL) is required. Candidates must provide details regarding their CDL on their application.
  • Medical clearance is mandatory prior to employment.
  • A clean driving record is essential, with no revocations or suspensions of relevant licenses.
