Key Responsibilities:

Job Summary:
As a Radiation Therapy Specialist, you will deliver precise and therapeutic doses of external-beam radiation therapy to well-defined targets for both curative and palliative treatments of cancer and benign tumors. Your role will involve ensuring safe and accurate treatment delivery, adhering to radiation safety protocols, and operating all equipment in a secure and effective manner. You will follow a prescribed radiation therapy plan as directed by the Radiation Oncologist, in alignment with professional standards, departmental policies, and established protocols.

Your responsibilities will also include conducting necessary assessments, care, and treatment planning for the patient demographic you serve.

It is essential to stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in the field by engaging with relevant literature, attending seminars, and participating in conferences.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience Requirements:

Completion of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy Technology is required. A minimum of one year of relevant work experience demonstrating the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities is preferred.

Licensure and Certification:
  • American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) (T) certification is mandatory.
  • Current licensure as a Certified Radiological Technologist/Therapeutic in Washington State is required.
  • Current BLS certification for healthcare providers is necessary.
  • Membership in the American Society of Radiological Technologists (ASRT) is preferred.
