Respiratory Care Specialist
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Care Specialist to enhance our healthcare team. In this role, you will deliver exceptional care to patients through a variety of respiratory interventions. Join us in our mission to improve the health and wellness of the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory care treatments including Aerosol Therapy, Endotracheal Tubes, Bronchial Procedures, Electrocardiograms, and Ventilator Management.
- Observe patients for any adverse reactions and implement appropriate interventions.
- Work collaboratively with medical professionals in managing ventilators, CPAP, and other respiratory care tasks.
- Perform EEG assessments as necessary.
Patient Evaluation and Assessment
- Assess and evaluate patients' cardiopulmonary status using various diagnostic methodologies.
- Assess the effectiveness of treatments and communicate findings with physicians for necessary adjustments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all patient evaluations and care procedures.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program with a minimum of one year of clinical experience in the field.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient knowledge of respiratory care practices, oxygen administration, CPR, patient evaluation, and airway management.
- Capability to execute respiratory care procedures with precision.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Licensure and Certification:
- Must hold a valid license as a respiratory care practitioner in Washington State.
- Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist is required.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are mandatory.
Compensation: $51.65 per hour
