About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Seafood Department Lead to join our team at Kroger. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and driving sales growth in the Meat and Seafood department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and memorable.
  • Department Management: Supervise and manage the daily operations of the Meat and Seafood department, including inventory management, pricing, and visual merchandising.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of products.
  • Visual Merchandising: Maintain a visually appealing store environment, including displays, signage, and product presentation.
  • Loss Prevention: Identify and report any potential loss prevention issues, such as theft or shrinkage.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and coaching to sales associates to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a grocery store environment.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and basic math skills.
