Position Overview

The Finance Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing a comprehensive array of accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll reporting, and human resources management. Responsibilities include conducting month-end closing activities, reconciling accounts, and generating profit statements for management review. It is essential to protect company assets while providing essential data and financial support to various departments within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute all general accounting tasks, including maintaining the general ledger, managing accounts receivable, and overseeing accounts payable.
  • Supervise the biweekly payroll submission to the corporate Finance Department, ensuring timely preparation of payroll expense reports and labor cost summaries. Manage benefits calculations and payroll journal entries.
  • Coordinate timesheets and wage transfers for traveling team members.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees at the home facility and traveling management team, including organizing job fairs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Special Projects Administrator.
  • Prepare event settlements and sales reports.
  • Compile monthly financial statements.
  • Manage office supply orders and special project requests.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality regarding sensitive and proprietary information.
  • Assist the Finance Director in budget preparation and financial reporting.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred; certification is not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 4 years in an accounting role with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of management experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of payroll and tax regulations, along with a basic understanding of employment law as it pertains to payroll.
  • Flexibility to work beyond standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management.
