Position Overview:

Role Summary:

The Route Planning Analyst plays a crucial role in orchestrating the effective use of drivers, vehicles, and containers to enhance operational capacity, boost productivity, and ensure exceptional service delivery to all clients. This position is pivotal in executing safety protocols, elevating customer experiences, and driving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in shaping both short-term and long-term strategies for route networks.
  • Gather, interpret, and analyze logistics data such as inventory levels and asset reliability to enhance routing accuracy.
  • Design and optimize routes that are operationally sound and profitable.
  • Monitor service commitments and efficiency targets, ensuring they are met or exceeded.
  • Implement dynamic routing principles to streamline route construction.
  • Address driver performance issues and suggest corrective measures to management.
  • Adjust daily routing information proactively to enhance standardization and accuracy.
  • Oversee daily routing operations, resolving challenges to maintain timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Identify opportunities for swing routes and assess their effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to analyze swing percentage trends for continuous improvement.
  • Adapt plans in real-time to accommodate unexpected developments.
  • Evaluate daily disposal strategies to optimize load assignments for drivers.
  • Engage in quarterly discussions regarding disposal plans with management to ensure alignment.
  • Review service areas monthly to balance permanent stops based on demand.
  • Provide drivers with insights on missed pickups to prevent future occurrences.
  • Assess the feasibility of advancing requests to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Regularly update customer geocoding to refine routing processes.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field; experience in waste management is advantageous.
  • Three to five years of experience in logistics or a related field, focusing on route efficiency improvement.
  • Familiarity with routing software and logistics/supply chain ERP systems is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of USD $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year, along with benefits such as 401k with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, and holidays.
