Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Operations: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all properties within your region, ensuring that they are safe, clean, and well-maintained.
  • Team Management: Supervise and manage a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets for maintenance operations, ensuring that costs are controlled and that resources are allocated effectively.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with property managers, residents, and other stakeholders to ensure that maintenance needs are met and that issues are resolved promptly.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve maintenance-related problems and issues, using your technical expertise and knowledge of maintenance operations to find solutions.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g. facilities management, maintenance operations) preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role within apartment maintenance, with a proven track record of success in managing maintenance operations and teams.
  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge of maintenance operations, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Working Conditions
  • Exposure to Various Types of Weather: Work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, and snow.
  • Physical Demands: Stand, walk, push, pull, lift up to 25 pounds, crawl, kneel, twist, carry, work with hands, and drive a vehicle.
