Job Title: Regional Medical Director

AmeriVet Veterinary Partners is seeking a highly skilled Regional Medical Director to support our West Coast Market. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning our strategic plan and objectives with veterinary practice excellence within the assigned region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the training, organization, supervision, evaluation, and accountability of Veterinarians (DVMs) across multiple clinics.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Marketing teams to implement innovative programs to grow patient visit numbers.
  • Continued improvement of the quality of veterinary care provided to patients across all clinics/hospitals, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Assist with procurement processes, balancing operational efficiency and cost reduction with the availability of high-quality medicines.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Team to develop a labor model that supports quality patient care, medical outcomes, team optimization, customer experience, and scalability to flex with changes in demand, staff vacancies, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing veterinary medicine and animal care across the region.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree required.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a practicing Veterinarian.
  • Preferred 3+ years of experience directing a veterinary team.
  • Previous experience with multisite clinic responsibility, preferably with a veterinarian practice consolidator.
  • Previous experience with presenting continuing education, professional organization leadership, boards, and other professional leadership roles preferred.
