About OHM Advisors
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Project Engineer specializing in airport projects to join our expanding Transportation team. As a firm committed to community enhancement, your role will be pivotal in designing and overseeing essential infrastructure initiatives at airports.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver civil engineering expertise for a variety of airport enhancement projects, including runways, taxiways, terminals, and other airfield components.
  • Work collaboratively with architects, planners, and fellow engineers to create cost-effective and feasible designs.
  • Engage in data collection and analysis to support the development of effective airport designs.
  • Conduct drainage assessments, pavement design, quantity estimations, quality assurance/control, and other specialized airfield engineering tasks.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of specific tasks and assignments.
  • Assist in defining project scope and budget parameters.
  • Supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to plans and specifications, addressing requests for information during construction, and participating in progress meetings as necessary.
  • Proactively identify project challenges, advising clients on alternatives and providing solutions.
  • Stay informed about the latest Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and design standards.
Qualifications for Success
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in airport civil engineering design and construction.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software.
  • Thorough understanding of FAA Advisory Circulars and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Michigan Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • A commitment to fostering strong client relationships.
  • Effective organizational skills and a preference for collaborative work environments.
