Position Overview:

L3Harris Technologies is in search of an Engineering Integration Manager for the Communications Systems (CS) division's Brevard Engineering operations. This role will directly report to the Senior Engineering Manager of the CS Brevard segment within the Systems Integration and Testing (SI&T) department. The Engineering Integration Manager will oversee a team of around twenty engineers, ensuring the effective implementation of integration and testing protocols while addressing the hiring and staffing requirements set forth by the Senior Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in testing and integration within the defense sector, coupled with a robust background in leading diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly reports to the Senior Engineering Manager for the department, leading a team of approximately 20 members, responsible for their performance management, identifying training needs, and fostering professional growth.
  • Accountable for executing workforce and staffing strategies established by the Senior Engineering Manager to ensure the availability of essential human resources for achieving departmental objectives.
  • Possesses hiring and compensation authority within the department, subject to management review and approval.
  • Manages staffing performance issues, including Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), in collaboration with the Senior Engineering Manager and Human Resources.
  • Oversees onboarding processes for new employees, including IT requests, orientation, and logistical arrangements.
  • Demonstrates knowledge in RF and Satcom technologies.
  • Experience with testing instruments such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and power meters.
  • Proficient in drafting and developing test documentation (test plans, procedures, reports, readiness reviews, etc.).
  • Conducts test execution and performs tests under customer observation (acceptance tests, functional tests, formal qualification tests, etc.).
  • Experience with environmental testing and compliance with MIL-STD-810 standards (seismic, vibration, etc.).
  • Exhibits effective communication skills within a collaborative team environment.
  • Possesses excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 13 years of related experience may substitute for a degree.

Preferred Skills:

  • Over 3 years of experience managing high-performance engineering teams.
  • More than 5 years of systems experience in the integration and testing of secure military communication systems.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the integration and testing of complex communication systems in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • 5+ years of experience in translating system requirements into test requirements.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
  • Experience in SI&T engineering, including the development of test strategies, plans, procedures, and reports; execution of integration and testing; and utilization of data collection and analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with DOORS or JIRA.
  • Experience in test automation development and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of RF, mechanical, and electrical engineering disciplines.
