Job Title: Staff Aircraft Weapons Integration Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Aircraft Weapons Integration Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Aeronautics Systems sector, you will be responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining the Mechanical Systems Design Architecture using engineering practices and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the physical and digital architectures for the aircraft mechanical system.
  • Lead a small team of mechanical design engineers in supporting the preliminary design, development, and integration of mechanical system components and mechanisms onto an aircraft platform.
  • Perform design and analysis of aircraft landing gear and/or general aircraft mechanisms (utilities, flight controls, uplocks, etc.).
  • Manage team cost and schedule, and mentor junior engineers in mechanical design.
  • Attend internal program, customer, and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline AND 14 years of related professional/military experience in mechanical/aerospace engineering that includes a background in aircraft mechanical (mechanism) systems.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher (that has a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or is under continuous evaluation).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Programs (SAP) prior to the commencement of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related discipline.
  • Familiarity with NX CAD software and Teamcenter PLM.
  • Managerial / Team Lead experience.
