About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Operations Director to join our team at Zendesk, Inc. As a key member of our North American Commercial segment, you will play a critical role in driving sales excellence and propelling our business forward.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Partnership

As the primary business partner to one of our VPs of Sales, you will provide expert guidance and support to drive revenue and bookings.

Sales Strategy Execution

You will work closely with leadership to execute the sales strategy for North America, leveraging your insights to inform business decisions.

Operational Excellence

As a champion of operational excellence, you will set the pace for innovation and efficiency within the sales division.

Sales Technology Expertise

You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our sales technology stack, ensuring seamless data management and utilization.

Performance Metrics and Analysis

You will collaborate with the broader Go-To-Market (GTM) Ops team to establish and refine performance metrics, facilitating informed decision-making.

Territorial Distribution and Optimization

You will redefine and optimize the territorial distribution to ensure comprehensive market coverage and increased sales efficiency.

Operational Challenges and Improvements

You will swiftly address and resolve operational challenges, suggesting improvements to systems and processes to fuel scalable growth.

Sales Enablement and Development

You will work in tandem with the Sales Enablement team to identify and rectify knowledge and skill gaps, ensuring ongoing development and training.

Sales Performance Analysis and Forecasting

You will analyze sales performance, managing pipeline and forecasting with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Financial Modeling and Resource Allocation

You will conduct financial modeling to guide the prioritization and allocation of resources and investments in new market opportunities.

Operational Best Practices

You will document and disseminate operational best practices to elevate overall team performance.

Global Strategy Representation

You will act as a representative for North American sales nuances and priorities in global strategy discussions and Centers of Excellence.

Requirements

  1. Leadership Experience

You will have at least 7+ years of experience in a comparable role, ideally within a high-growth SaaS environment in either a similar role or sales leadership role.

Problem-Solving and Data Analysis

You will be an expert problem-solver, renowned for leveraging data to drive pivotal business decisions.

Technical Skills

You will be proficient in the nuances of data analysis and financial modeling, familiar with SQL and extracting insights from SFDC.

Adaptability and Entrepreneurial Spirit

You will be adaptable, entrepreneurial, and quick to act, thriving in dynamic, growth-focused settings.

Multi-Tasking and Team Advocacy

You will be a master multitasker, adept at managing multiple initiatives, from broad-scale projects to immediate operational demands.

Collaboration and Communication

You will be a dedicated team advocate, fostering a collaborative environment while steering both individual and collective achievements.

Compensation and Benefits

The US annualized base salary range for this position is $165,000.00-$247,000.00. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives.

Hybrid Work Model

This role requires attendance at our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule will be determined by the hiring manager.
