Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our team at Southeastern Integrated Care LLC. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in promoting recovery, self-advocacy, and self-direction among our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Coaching and Mentoring: Offer guidance and support to clients to help them achieve their recovery goals.
  • Develop and Implement Recovery Plans: Collaborate with clients to create personalized recovery plans that address their unique needs and goals.
  • Provide Linkage to Community Resources: Connect clients with local resources and services that can support their recovery journey.
  • Document Services: Accurately document all services provided to clients, including progress notes and service plans.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Participate in Staff Meetings and Training: Regularly attend staff meetings and participate in training and education activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification: Must be certified as a Peer Support Specialist in North Carolina.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Work Environment

This position requires working in a variety of settings, including clients' homes and community locations. You must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. You must also be able to drive and operate a personal vehicle safely and adhere to all applicable state and traffic laws.
