Job Description

Job Summary:

Southeastern Integrated Care LLC is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Peer Support Specialist to join our team. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will work closely with individuals who are experiencing mental health challenges, providing support, guidance, and advocacy to help them achieve their recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide peer support and guidance to individuals who are experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Assist individuals in developing and implementing their recovery plans.
  • Provide education and support on mental health topics, such as coping skills, stress management, and self-care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Document all interactions and progress in the individual's medical record.

Requirements:

  • NC Certified Peer Support Specialist certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Work Environment:

This position will work primarily in the community, providing support to individuals in their homes, workplaces, or other community settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mental health recovery principles and be able to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Physical Demands:

This position requires the ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to drive and operate a personal vehicle safely and adhere to all applicable state and traffic laws.
