Job Title: Certified Peer Support Specialist

At Southeastern Integrated Care LLC, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our team. As a Certified Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing coaching, mentoring, and consultation to individuals in recovery, promoting self-advocacy, self-direction, and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized coaching and mentoring to clients, focusing on recovery, self-advocacy, and wellness.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote a culture of recovery and empowerment.
  • Develop and implement personalized recovery plans, incorporating client goals and preferences.
  • Provide linkage to community resources, including mental health services, housing, and employment opportunities.
  • Document direct service delivery, including purpose of contact, interventions, time spent, and effectiveness.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and supervisory activities to ensure high-quality services.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • NC Certified Peer Support Specialist certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to read medical records, write service notes, and present information effectively
Work Environment:

The Certified Peer Support Specialist will work primarily in clients' living environments and in the community, with occasional exposure to domestic animals, pests, and other environmental factors.

Physical Demands:

The position requires regular standing, walking, and use of hands to handle objects. The employee must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
