Job Title: Technical Product Developer - Men's Knits

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Developer to join our team at Carbon2Cobalt. As a key member of our Apparel Design/Merchandise team, you will be responsible for blending your technical design and product development skills to create high-quality men's knitwear products.

Responsibilities:
  • Receive design briefs from designers and compose initial technical packages for internal approvals.
  • Manage technical packages and communicate with vendors to expedite incoming prototypes.
  • Process, fit, and document samples through production-ready stages.
  • Initiate and manage fit, construction, and materials correction processes with overseas vendors.
  • Collaborate in meetings to discuss product adds, departmental initiatives, and market analysis to inform product initiatives.
Sample and Materials Management:
  • Retrieve incoming prototypes and initiate internal processing, including sample measurement and fabric analysis.
  • Direct vendors in sourcing and acquiring trims and product dye/wash techniques.
  • File and update sample tagging on seasonal garment racks.
  • Notify the team of samples to be fit and evaluated during review periods.
  • Organize swatch libraries, trims, and materials.
Admin:
  • Detail costing, garment details, and factory notes on sample status charts.
  • Take flat photos of prototypes and add to working boards.
  • Initiate and manage distribution of seasonal carryover specs.
  • Review catalog details for product copy and pricing accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in apparel product development, with a focus on cut and sew knits.
  • Knowledge of garment patternmaking, fit, and quality standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, with a flexible mindset.

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $85,000 per year, as well as a range of benefits, including 401(k), dental insurance, employee discount, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance.
