We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-time Spanish Bilingual Legal Assistant to join our team at Melehy and Associates LLC. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our attorneys and assist with various tasks related to employment law cases.

Responsibilities
  • Screen and respond to telephone calls and greet guests in a professional manner
  • Perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, including answering telephones, scheduling appointments, updating case files, and preparing spreadsheets
  • Obtain information from new and potential clients and respond to inquiries regarding case status
  • Operate standard office equipment, including word processors, personal computers, and duplicating machines
  • Maintain break room and common areas, including cleaning appliances and sanitizing high-traffic areas
  • Make deliveries and run errands outside the office
  • Organize and maintain file room, including lifting large and heavy boxes of files
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a bachelor's or associate degree strongly preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure
  • Diligent and proactive, with a patient and adaptable attitude
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position, requiring a minimum of 15 hours per week. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check and/or fingerprinting.

Compensation
