Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Bilingual Direct Support Professional to join our team at Jubilee Association of Maryland. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live in and enrich their community while achieving their personal, family, social, and spiritual goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-person daily support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities, following their person-centered plans.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as shopping, cooking, cleaning, and home upkeep.
  • Support individuals in developing relationships and communicating with friends, family, and community members.
  • Encourage participation in social and community activities, Jubilee-sponsored activities, and activities connected with the person's faith community.
  • Document services, medication administration, progress on goals, medical visits, incidents, and behavior according to Jubilee's policies.
  • Maintain regular, open, and positive communication with supervisors, colleagues, and family members of the people you support.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Bilingual, fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English
  • Experience as a Direct Support Professional is a plus, but not required
  • Commitment to Jubilee's core values of respect and human dignity, self-determination, community, justice, ethical practices, and spiritual care
  • Computer skills for using email and online data systems
  • Current U.S. driver's license
