Position Overview:

The Technical Service Specialist plays a vital role in delivering exceptional support to our clients by conducting installations, audits, maintenance, and training on our advanced product lines, including x-ray systems, metal detectors, and high-speed checkweighers. This role encompasses managing all facets of field service operations, ensuring effective communication between clients and the service team, and adhering to established protocols and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Technical Service Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Adhering to all safety protocols for both the company and client sites.
  • Participating in daily coordination meetings led by the Regional Service Manager.
  • Executing scheduled service appointments efficiently, considering cost, time, and client expectations.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, becoming their trusted advisor.
  • Diagnosing service issues effectively to ensure first-time resolutions.
  • Completing and submitting service reports, timesheets, and expense documentation promptly.
  • Engaging in ongoing technical training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Being available for weekend and after-hours work as required.
  • Traveling extensively, with 100% travel required for this position.
  • Maintaining company-provided tools and inventory.
  • Upholding a professional appearance and adhering to the company’s Code of Conduct.

Essential Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED; an Associate's degree in Electronics or Engineering Technology is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and digital testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electronic, and distribution systems.
  • Experience with AC and DC electrical systems and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish are advantageous.
  • A self-motivated attitude with a focus on high performance and customer satisfaction.

Work Environment:

This position requires working in various environments, including:

  • Areas with moving mechanical parts, subject to temperature variations and humidity.
  • Occasional exposure to damp conditions and allergens.
  • Potentially noisy environments and the need to operate heavy machinery.
  • Physical demands include lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
