Role Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Oncology (CNC) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and overseeing all operational functions within the unit during assigned shifts. Collaborating with the management team, the CNC will direct, assess, and evaluate nursing practices in line with established protocols, serving as a resource for staff and embodying the organization's mission and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates admission and discharge processes to promote efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
  • Engages in continuous evaluation of patient care quality in partnership with management.
  • Fosters a collaborative environment among team members to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
  • Embraces a patient-first philosophy and addresses service recovery as needed.
  • Implements nursing strategies to improve staff engagement and operational effectiveness.
  • Participates in the recruitment, training, and development of new staff, ensuring compliance with policies and performance evaluations.
  • Manages staff scheduling in alignment with patient care requirements and productivity standards.
  • Oversees inventory management and assists in maintaining supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
  • Current RN license in Texas or a compact license.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification required within one year of hire.
  • PALS certification preferred.
  • ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy certificate required within one year of hire.
  • A minimum of two years of RN experience in ICU, BMT/Hematology, or PCU is strongly preferred.
