Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled and experienced Patient Care Manager to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative supervision and leadership to our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct patient care activities, including the development of standards of care and unit functions in the clinical specialty.
  • Ensure the highest level of clinical practice is maintained to deliver safe, effective, and appropriate patient care.
  • Accountable for unit operations on a continuous 24/7 basis.
  • Responsible for hiring, coaching, evaluating, and counseling employees.
  • Develops unit goals and objectives in alignment with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Evaluates patient satisfaction and implements improvement interventions as necessary.
  • Develops, monitors, and evaluates budgetary plans.
  • Fosters a performance improvement philosophy and practices.
  • Establishes a staffing plan for the annual budget.
  • Responsible for cooperative programs with other departments that support the corporate goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience.
  • CT RN License required.
  • 4 or more years of recent and relevant experience in the designated clinical area.
  • Evidence of ongoing education related to the field of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing, Business, or applicable relevance.
  • Certifications such as BLS (HCP), CEN, ACLS, TNCC, and IV certification.

  • Significant manual skills/motor coordination and finger dexterity.
  • Medium to Heavy effort. May exert up to 35 lbs. force.
