At OneWorld Community Health Centers, we recognize that enhancing health outcomes involves addressing various social factors, including education. Our initiative, the Learning Community Center of South Omaha (LCCSO), collaborates with families to bridge the opportunity gap through early childhood education, parental involvement, and teacher training. Our mission is to significantly enhance educational achievements for children and their families.
We are looking for a dedicated Educational Navigator to fulfill a crucial role within our organization.
The Educational Navigator will engage with families in South Omaha, guiding them to our programs and aligning them with our mission. The LCCSO is committed to supporting parents and their young children, fostering partnerships that build on existing knowledge and cultivate new skills, thereby creating a nurturing environment for children's learning and development.
This position is a full-time evening role.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Work, or a related discipline OR equivalent professional experience utilizing educational strategies to enhance child learning.
- Proficient communication skills in both English and Spanish, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
- A valid driver's license and automobile insurance, along with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing time and contributing to team objectives.
- Proven capability to build rapport and foster relationships with diverse populations.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to propose innovative solutions to work tasks.
- Willingness to travel for workshops, training sessions, meetings, and in-service events.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings.
