**Position Overview**

We are seeking a **Senior Accounting Supervisor** to join our dynamic team at Pilgrim's. This role is crucial for overseeing the financial integrity of our operations.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Manage the consolidation and elimination entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation of all external financial documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate the scheduling and coordination of external audit activities.
  • Collaborate with operational accounting teams to streamline fieldwork processes.
  • Supervise the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes across all ledgers.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures through regular monitoring.
  • Document and assess compliance with departmental SOX controls.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for all team members in line with company policies.
  • Review financial statement filings to guarantee comprehensive disclosures.
  • Maintain Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required; CPA designation is preferred.
  • 6-8 years of professional experience in public accounting and industry, particularly with SEC registrants.
  • Strong knowledge of debit/credit accounting, including derivative financial instruments and related liabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to engage with various management levels.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a proven ability to analyze complex financial statements accurately.
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting; familiarity with IFRS and Mexico GAAP is advantageous.
  • Experience with international subsidiaries is preferred.
  • Understanding of SOX compliance and related practices.
  • Proficient in preparing annual proxy statement filings and knowledgeable about EDGAR and XBRL requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively while meeting deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, capable of working independently.
