Position Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is accountable for the comprehensive upkeep and maintenance of all parish properties, including but not limited to the church, school, parish center, and associated grounds. This role ensures that all facilities are safe, functional, and welcoming for all parishioners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily inspections of the property to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
  • Oversee snow and ice removal to maintain safe walkways and access for all visitors.
  • Supervise maintenance staff, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
  • Develop and communicate maintenance policies and schedules to relevant personnel.
  • Manage the alarm and security systems, responding to alerts and coordinating with leadership on security matters.
  • Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for ongoing maintenance needs.
  • Facilitate inspections of the facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Monitor HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure all plumbing and electrical systems are operational and address any issues promptly.
  • Regularly assess the condition of furniture and fixtures, ensuring they are well-maintained.
  • Manage landscaping and outdoor maintenance, including seasonal tasks such as trimming and weeding.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:

Applicants must be capable of performing physical labor for extended periods, possess a valid driver's license, and be available for occasional weekend and holiday work as needed.
