Job Summary

The Accounting Specialist for Procurement will report to the Accounting Supervisor for JBS USA. This role requires strong time management skills, effective communication, and basic accounting knowledge. A hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver timely and accurate reports and information as needed.
  • Process cattle lots as they arrive on site.
  • Maintain SOX compliance when handling and storing lot details.
  • Assist the Accounting Supervisor with livestock reporting.
  • Detailed Duties
    • Collect lot paperwork from the livestock office.
    • Verify all incoming CPS lots for accuracy.
    • Verify the branding is valid for the lot.
    • Work with the Harvest Floor to move drives through the Shop Floor program.
    • Process condemned head paperwork from USDA.
    • Maintain orderly files in compliance with SOX.
    • Assist the Accounting Supervisor with audits.
    • File and recall lot paperwork as needed.
    • Help drive cost savings and process improvement for the area.

Requirements

  • A high school degree or GED, some college preferred.
  • Have 2-3 years of related experience (or schooling) in accounting operations.
  • 10-key for speed and accuracy.
  • BASIC understanding of logistics and terms like FOB, CWT, Tare, and NET.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Base Salary Range

$23.25/hr.
