Position Overview: The Senior Project Engineer plays a crucial role in overseeing project management and providing technical assistance for the operation and development of Enterprise's pipeline and terminal infrastructure. This position ensures that enhancements and modifications to pipelines and facilities are executed in compliance with the Company's Engineering Guidelines and Specifications, as well as Industry Codes & Standards and Regulatory Agency mandates, while also fulfilling functionality and performance criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple projects across various locations, typically with budgets under $10MM.
  • Coordinate and manage capital initiatives in alignment with Company policies and procedures.
  • Develop comprehensive project scopes, execution strategies, cost estimates, and timelines to facilitate project approval decisions.
  • Monitor project scope, costs, and schedules to ensure adherence to the approved budget and timeline, meeting specified objectives.
  • Implement project management best practices and uphold project standards effectively.
  • Evaluate and manage project risks to minimize financial and scheduling impacts.
  • Ensure all project documentation and drawings are accurate, up-to-date, and archived according to company protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial, Operations, Technical Services, Land, Right-of-Way, and Strategic Sourcing teams while directing third-party contractors to safely execute projects.
  • Prepare detailed weekly and monthly project progress reports, including cost forecasts utilizing Excel, Word, and Oracle.
  • Supervise the activities of external consultants.
  • Draft requests for proposals for external consultants; prepare bid packages, assess bids, conduct the consultant selection process, and recommend contract awards.
  • Develop and implement project work plans, revising them as necessary to accommodate evolving needs and engineering requirements associated with plant, facilities, and pipeline projects.
  • Coordinate project activities among in-house and external resources; assign tasks and provide guidance to personnel responsible for specific project functions or phases.
  • Review consultant work to ensure compliance with Enterprise Products' standards and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure adherence to Process Safety Management (PSM) and DOT regulations.
  • Maintain a current understanding of regulations, industry standards, and other relevant standards and technologies.
