Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Project Engineer to contribute to our electrical design and engineering efforts within chemical and industrial facilities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 2 years of experience in electrical design and engineering.
- Eligibility to apply for a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
- Willingness to travel 20-40% of the time as required by job assignments.
- Ability to work additional hours when necessary and pursue advanced education or certifications as job assignments dictate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in SKM or ETAP software for conducting load flow, short circuit, and coordination studies.
- Experience in providing field support and participating in the checkout, commissioning, and startup of process control installations.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of safety system documentation, automation validation, and quality assurance.
- Expertise in low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems, including protective relaying, arc fault analysis, load studies, switchgear, transformers, motor control centers, emergency generators, UPS systems, and variable frequency drives.
- Solid computer hardware and software skills.
- Familiarity with national and international standards in electrical distribution.
- Project control skills, including planning, scheduling, cost control, and contract development.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to engage with various levels of management and internal customers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with engineering and design teams.
