Lab Specialist, Building Products Evaluation

Building & Construction Division

Our team offers assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services along with building science solutions to ensure Total Quality Assurance for the constructed environment. We provide the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry with a comprehensive range of capabilities both in the laboratory and on-site.

Building Products Evaluation Services

From compliance with codes to performance assessments and product certifications, our goal is to establish enduring partnerships with our clients. We empower them to collaborate with a single source to achieve the market access success their products require.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting up testing apparatus
  • Operating laboratory equipment
  • Maintaining testing equipment and facilities
  • Preparing samples for testing
  • Providing recommendations regarding technical decisions related to test standards
  • Communicating with clients and management as necessary
  • Performing additional tasks as required

Qualifications for Success:

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory
  • Basic knowledge of construction and carpentry, with experience using power tools
  • Experience in carpentry; welding and fabrication experience is advantageous
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to execute simple instructions
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Aptitude for handling standardized situations with minimal variables
  • Physical capability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Physical ability to perform various tasks such as sitting, standing, crouching, bending, climbing, and crawling as required
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently
  • Excellent customer service abilities
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Word and Excel
  • Willingness to travel as business needs arise
