Job Overview:
Softworld Inc is in search of an Electrical Systems Engineer to join our Combat Mission Systems division. This role is pivotal in supporting the design, testing, production, and deployment of sophisticated military technologies.
As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will:
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research, planning, design, development, modification, and assessment of electronic and electrical systems and components.
- Utilize advanced modeling and analytical tools to create product specifications, models, simulations, technical data packages, and integration and verification protocols.
- Assess vendor capabilities, technologies, and services to ensure they meet the necessary product or service requirements.- Collaborate under the guidance of a project engineering lead to execute electrical system designs for various military applications, including combat vehicles, weapon systems, and guided munitions.
- Provide comprehensive engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and systems tailored for military product use.Required Skills:
- Ability to address moderately complex technical design and development challenges.
- Proficient in interpreting and creating schematics and interconnect diagrams.
- Capable of developing and managing interface control documents.
- Experience in circuit simulation tools (PSpice or LTspice).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present data, information, and technical findings.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting circuits with oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, LabVIEW, and Test Stand.
- Working knowledge of OrCAD and Visio.
Experience Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in analog and digital circuit design and analysis.
- Proven track record in developing technical documentation, including drawings, reports, and technical evaluations.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in engineering design for wiring harnesses and cable assemblies in military systems.
- Familiarity with programming National Instruments test equipment using LabVIEW and Test Stand.
Educational Background:
- Typically requires 1+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or 0+ years with a master's degree.
