Job Overview

The Identity & Access Management Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that Optimum's Identity & Access Management framework is effectively implemented, designed, and sustained. This position is vital for guaranteeing that all applications utilized within the organization are properly integrated for access rights, user provisioning, and de-provisioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer expertise in information security to support various projects initiated by business units and other departments.
  • Ensure that system deployments adhere to established security protocols and industry best practices.
  • Act as project manager for small to medium-scale initiatives led by the Information Security department.
  • Contribute to the budgeting process by outlining technical, resource, and personnel needs for capital projects related to Information Security.
  • Conduct evaluations of security technologies through laboratory and pilot programs.
  • Provide consulting services on information security to various business units and departments.
  • Perform security assessments on new and existing systems.
  • Administer and maintain security systems and technologies, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Single Sign-On (SSO), and Privileged Account Management (PAM).
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with various vendors and manufacturers.
  • Develop and uphold minimum security baseline configurations for handheld devices, workstations, and server operating systems.
  • Manage Service Desk tickets assigned to the Engineering team, ensuring effective problem resolution.
  • Create documentation such as operations manuals, runbooks, procedures, and solutions to problems.
  • Engage in technical research and development to foster ongoing innovation in Cyber Security and Information Risk management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Information Security with a focus on Identity and Access Management.
  • In-depth knowledge of RBAC, SSO, PAM, and IAM, with familiarity in tools like SailPoint, Okta, and CyberArk.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Understanding of Active Directory domains, LDAP directories, and Unix Identity.
  • Solid grasp of cloud computing concepts, with experience in Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Unix/Linux shell, Perl) or programming (Visual Basic, MS Access).
  • Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
  • Advanced knowledge in the architecture and implementation of identity and access management solutions.
  • Extensive experience in designing and troubleshooting user provisioning and de-provisioning workflows, including automation processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of identity, authentication, security, privacy, and compliance in cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of network architecture and standards for large enterprises.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards such as PCI DSS, Sarbanes-Oxley, and Department of Justice National Security Agreement.
  • Ability to gather project requirements and contribute to security design implementation from start to finish.
