Role Responsibilities:

The Risk Management Process Specialist will work closely with senior management and team members to:

  • Continuously monitor and address incoming data utilized in risk assessment and reporting.
  • Ensure the completeness, validity, and accuracy of data on a daily basis.
  • Generate reports and analyses regarding the quality of data used in risk management systems.
  • Implement robust risk controls for our data processes and systems.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing of data control processes.

Team Overview:

The Global Risk Analytics (GRA) and Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT) teams are integral components of Global Risk Management (GRM). Together, they are responsible for developing a cohesive set of models, analytical tools, and assessments for effective risk and capital measurement, management, and reporting across the organization. GRA and EIT collaborate with various business lines and enterprise functions to ensure that their capabilities meet both internal and regulatory standards while adapting to evolving portfolios, economic conditions, and emerging risks.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Risk Management Process Specialist, you will play a vital role in our commitment to process excellence. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to identify risks and prioritize testing requirements.
  • Documenting and analyzing testing specifications.
  • Sourcing and evaluating data necessary for testing.
  • Designing and developing tests.
  • Documenting tests clearly and concisely for repeatability.
  • Utilizing programming skills and understanding of software development principles to write testing code.
  • Executing tests and providing comprehensive reporting of results.
  • Communicating critical testing insights to stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Undergraduate or master's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Preferred GPA of 3.5 or higher.
  • Relevant fields of study include Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Accounting, Audit Management, and Risk Management.

Skills:

  • Strong intellectual curiosity.
  • Leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Accountability for delivering high-quality work while effectively prioritizing tasks.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience with quantitative methods such as modeling, data analytics, machine learning, and statistics.
  • Programming skills (e.g., Python) and understanding of Software Development Life Cycle principles.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and related regulations.
  • Experience in implementing process improvements and automation.
