Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • Current enrollment in Early Childhood Education coursework is highly preferred, with a commitment to obtaining an Early Childhood Education Teacher degree.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in a classroom or educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to effectively engage with clients at all levels.
  • Proficient writing and speaking abilities.
  • A personal alignment with and commitment to the mission and values of SVSB.
  • A conscientious approach to job responsibilities and the ability to be a self-starter.
Key Responsibilities

The Teachers Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with lunch and nap routines as assigned.
  • Supporting toileting needs of children and changing diapers or clothing when necessary.
  • Providing assistance in the kitchen as needed.
  • Completing any additional tasks as requested by administration and teaching staff.
Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • High school diploma.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • COVID Vaccination is required.
  • Genuine interest in early childhood education.
  • Availability to work consistently between 20 to 40 hours per week.
  • Preferred certification in Adult/Child/Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED.
  • Pre-employment negative TB test.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background fingerprint check and up-to-date childhood vaccinations with documentation.
Compensation and Benefits
