Job Title: Accounting Manager

Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team at our central business office in Westerville, OH. As a leading network of over 80 practices, we serve more than 400,000 patients and are expanding our services to include hospitalist teams, SameDay Centers, and ancillary services.

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for general accounting and analysis for multiple business units, managing a team responsible for month-end close processes, including journal entry preparation, general ledger reconciliations, financial statement preparation and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, ad hoc analysis, and supporting year-end external review processes, tax preparation, and governmental audits.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and excellent verbal and written communication skills. They will also have experience with Microsoft Excel and be able to execute job duties with precision and superior attention to detail.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Review and approve monthly journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Manage preparation of the annual budget and budget to actual fluctuation analysis.
  • Review monthly financial statements.
  • Prepare various internal and external financial reports.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
  • Analyze current processes, offer recommendations for improvement, and implement solutions.
  • Standardize process and procedures to continually improve financial processes.
  • Assist with identification and implementation of accounting tools/systems.
  • Collaborate with various department leaders providing insight into and resolution of accounting questions.
Qualifications:
  • BS in Accounting or Finance.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years of management experience.
  • Health care experience preferred.
  • Workday software experience preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred.
