Job Summary

The AMS Group, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our Operations Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing aerospace/defense projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and manage manufacturing build plans, supplier selection, and material procurement
  • Create and draft purchase orders in accordance with the procurement plan
  • Maintain and update job schedules and status
  • Communicate with key customers, suppliers, and service providers to ensure project milestones are met
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams in Sales, Engineering, Production, and Quality

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with an aptitude and interest to learn new software and systems
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented; Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Positive, professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to change, creative problem solver
  • Able to work independently with little supervision
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in a comparable role (we will accept entry-level applicants with strong qualifications)
  • Engineering, Operations Management, and/or other technical background
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel; knowledge of Asana, MS Project, Smartsheet or comparable software preferred

Work Experience / Education

  • Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance in Engineering discipline
  • Experience in position accountable for project coordination & success preferred
