Job Title: Planner

PTS Advance is seeking a skilled Planner to join our team in Torrance, CA. As a Planner, you will play a crucial role in the success of our capital projects by planning and scheduling work to be performed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in project constructability reviews and provide input on construction packages.
  • Review and provide feedback on construction packages to ensure a thorough understanding of the project work scope.
  • Produce high-level project schedules for projects in Stage 2 & 3, ensuring maximum utilization of contractor's labor and equipment.
  • Coordinate with operations to understand how to execute the project with minimal impact on the refinery.
  • Perform takeoffs from construction packages to quantify work scope (man hours) and create detailed execution schedules.
  • Review contractor estimates and provide input during the contractor selection process.
  • Submit requisitions for contractor services and perform job walks to review progress and discuss problems with contractors.
  • Update project schedules and produce weekly project reports, including forecasts and cost performance.
  • Coordinate and track RFI/FCOs, maintain a log, and track/punch list.
  • Support the Project Manager with lessons learned.

Hourly wage: $75-$85 (depending on experience)
