Job Description

The RF Field Engineer plays a crucial role in understanding customer needs, translating them into requirements, and formulating affordable solutions. This position works closely with the customer and engineering staff to provide a solution with the best value for the customer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate multi-disciplined teams to support systems for microwave measurement of various test items such as antennas and radomes for radar, communications, satellite data transfer, and other applications.
  • Travel 30-40% to client sites in the greater Los Angeles area.
Requirements
  • Willingness to travel after 3-6 month training.
  • Experience working in relevant industries such as Defense, Aviation/Aerospace, Space, etc.
  • Experience with test equipment: oscilloscope, network analyzer / VNA, RF power meter, spectrum analyzer.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong understanding of RF (Radio Frequency) theory and principles.
  • Strong experience in RF systems such as radar or satellite.
  • Ability to analyze diverse requirements in RF/Microwave measurements with a good understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand complex technical systems and problem solve.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (this is a client-facing role).
  • Significant experience with customer interaction and systems design and/or analysis.
