Job Overview
The Compliance Assurance Specialist at Christianson PLLP will conduct verification engagements to assess, document, and evaluate adherence to operational data with regulatory requirements for the firm's clientele, in line with the firm's quality assurance protocols.

This role will also involve investigating, assessing, and summarizing renewable fuel regulatory frameworks and standards, as well as aiding in the formulation of audit and verification processes for the renewable fuels sector.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare verification engagements in accordance with established standards, including the drafting of agreed-upon procedures and audit documentation.
- Gather and scrutinize data related to renewable fuel production facilities to ascertain compliance with regulations.
- Develop a foundational understanding of the EPA's Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) and West Coast Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS), while staying updated on regulatory modifications.
- Validate pathways through our new Quality Assurance Program (QAP) under the Renewable Fuels Standard.
- Research new regulatory releases pertaining to renewable fuels compliance programs and provide interpretation and summarization of these programs.
- Effectively represent the firm by maintaining professional communication with clients and consistently upholding the company's reputation.
- Act as a communication intermediary between staff and management.
- Identify accounting requirements and recommend, develop, and sustain solutions to business and financial challenges.
- Actively engage in business development and foster relationships to enhance both personal and firm growth.

Qualifications & Characteristics:
- A degree in business, accounting, finance, management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Eagerness to learn and gain expertise in Renewable Fuels.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, with clients and colleagues.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word; intermediate Excel skills are preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US.

Additional Information:
- Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in your respective time zone.
- The position offers flexibility for remote work or can be based out of any of our offices.
- All necessary technology equipment will be provided.
- Primarily an office-based role, with occasional travel to manufacturing or agricultural environments that may involve exposure to dust and/or odors. Some overnight travel may be required.
