About the Role

The Production Technician- Blend/Fill, reporting to the Operations Manager, is responsible for the final formulation and filling of vaccines based on proprietary SRP technology. This position works in a sterile manufacturing environment, adhering to strict quality control standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Operation: Operate production equipment associated with the Blend/Fill department, ensuring efficient and safe processing.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Disassemble, clean, and reassemble production equipment and work areas, maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Preparation and Blending: Prepare liquid buffers used during the serial assembly process and blend critical components required for final serial batching.
  • Filling and Packaging: Fill final serial batches using product-specific filling equipment, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Assist other technicians with troubleshooting and solving technical problems, promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • Record Keeping: Manually record all necessary information immediately upon completion of a task and maintain records associated with Blend and Fill.
  • Interdepartmental Support: Assist other manufacturing departments when schedule permits, fostering a team-oriented approach.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Maintain a clean work environment to assure sterility, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Health and Safety: Promote safety in all areas of work, professional courtesy, and a positive work environment within the company.
Qualifications and Capabilities:
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills required for accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Technical Proficiency: General proficiency with MS Office and ability to learn proprietary software.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrates excellent verbal, written, and record-keeping skills, ensuring clear communication with colleagues and management.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize work and multi-task, meeting deadlines and maintaining productivity.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work on equipment while standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma required, with a two- or four-year degree in any technical field preferred. One to two years' experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
