Job Description:

Business Operations Manager

Oregon Department of Transportation Public Transportation Division Program Services Unit

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Public Transportation Division leadership team to set priorities and develop unit plans and goals.
  • Supervise a team of up to 14 staff members who ensure compliance with federal and state policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to support transit statewide.
  • Work with human resources, information services, financial services, budget office, purchasing, and facilities to achieve unit goals.
  • Oversee and track grant status to ensure efficient use of funds.
  • Prepare budget requests and necessary budget documentation.
  • Monitor and purchase resources within budget for business needs.
  • Develop and manage agreements to carry out projects with other government entities.
  • Lead and review policy, planning, and research projects on national, statewide, and departmental scales.
  • Ensure coordination of program operation with policy and plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience; or three years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience developing plans, policies, and procedures; performing collaborative and creative problem-solving; and directing or influencing diverse teams.
